So I have not had the time to post forever! Or at least it seems like forever. So here is just a quick update on school.
Until August 4th I am attending a Swedish massage class three days a week in the middle of the day. I also attend monday night classes. I am still taking Tai Chi which I totally love. All I need to do now is find the time to practice it in the evenings. Next term will be a little less busy, but I will have classes two nights a week and then two weekend seminars which go Friday and Saturday from 8:30-6:30 I don't know how our students do this so I am going to give it a shot.
University of Phoenix is still going OK. I am in the last week of my Organizational Psychology class. This class has been interested but also a lot of busy work. This is the description of my World Mythology course which starts on July 19th.
This course provides an overview of mythology and its relationship to ancient and current cultures. The course covers the purposes and types of myths; the development of myths and mythological characters; the common elements of mythological structures; the predominant characteristics of deities and heroes in myth and the obstacles and dangers that these archetypes encounter; how myths effect our personal and social lives; where these ancient archetypes are found in contemporary society; and how attitudes and behaviors are influenced by mythological literature.
Oh well after all of this I will finally have a degree. Well two degrees but education is worth it. I keep reminding myself of that one.

Learning about crystals
So tonight I went to my Energy Essentials class although I was a little loopy from pain killers. We had a great time, I was able to meditate without helping Hank in his meditation. Then we learned more about crystals and stones. It is pretty cool to think that a quartz crystal can run a watch, and if you meditate with one you can feel the energy. I totally loved it and it was a great distraction from my teeth.

Anatomy and my GREAT Teachers
I have to say that I am one of the luckiest people around! I attend an awesome school where the teachers really invest in their students! I am enjoying Anatomy although the nervous system does not register in my brain very easily. Hank and I will be studying that this weekend. But Hank does remember is Scapula, Ishium, and tickle bone which is his Illium. I have to say that it is a total blessing that he has fun with what I am learning and my awesome teachers who let him come to class when I don't have any other options.
Last night in Anatomy I got to hold "my baby girl" actually it is another students baby, she had her during our Shiatsu class last term. Anyway she had to bring her last night because her husband wasn't available to watch her, and I got to hold her for two hours. She is so funny and cute! Until she gets hungry, she almost licked the table. I did not let her of course but it was so cute! So I am lucky enough to fulfill my dreams of attending school, get my baby fix, and Hank gets boys night all wrapped up into a couple of hours of Anatomy!

Tai Chi
So Hank wanted to visit my work last night, so I indulged him. We ended up coming back in for the night Tai Chi class, he wanted to come in and be at a real class. Anyway he was absolutely adorable. He sat in the little circle and was totally captivated while the instructor was talking. Then when we started the warm ups he went up to the front of the class and stood facing the instructor so he could follow along. He did a really good job and even closed his eyes for a few minutes to help with his concentrating. I am absolutely loving that Hank enjoys learning about it as much as I do. He also thinks it is totally cool that the Mystic Force power rangers also meditate. Maybe I can see if he would for a few minutes. Anyway he wanted to see if our instructor could float above the water, because that is what happened on the power rangers. He was also very good which was so nice. I don't think I have ever been more proud of him then I was last night.

Classes
So it has been awhile since I posted about school....
History class is going OK. I am having a hard time with forcing myself to actually do all the readings, but we have a final exam so I am trying. I had to write a paper about 1950's music it was pretty interesting and I got to listen to some Elvis and Sinatra so that is ok.
Energy Essentials - I LOVE THIS CLASS! We have been learning how to meditate, and work on other people using the energy forces. It is totally calming and a blast. Last night we went on Shamanic Journeys which were fun. And our instructor played a drum and it was the coolest sound.
Anatomy - I am struggling this past couple of weeks in this class. Although I am having fun teaching Hank about the bones and muscles. We are now studying the Nervous and Endocrine system. My brain is having a harder time wrapping around these concepts.
Tai Chi - This is a blast. Hank also thinks it is pretty cool that I am learning how to fight.
Last night when I went to leave class my car battery was totally dead. I was lucky that one of the students was super nice, and her husband is way cool! He had given her one of those tools that starts cars, it also has a built in air compressor. Anyway we were able to hook it up to my car for just a few minutes and then bingo it started! After I drove the whole mile to my house I wanted to let it run for a little bit longer. It was a beautiful night so I practiced my Tai Chi on the grass on the side of the house. I am sure that anybody who saw me out there at eleven at night were probably thinking I was totally crazy!
